I played against the Swine King (or prince, I forgot), lost two teammates to Wilbur, barely finished off the boss and lost my last teammate to Wilbur. My last remaining character was Grave Robber, no Pick. It was humiliating, having to retreat from the battle.

I see a lot of negativity on DD2. I recently got it and was a bit disappointed at first. But after playing a while, it became so obvious the combat is vastly better than the formulaic rock, paper,scissors of DD1. I think the loop nature and carriage are easy to poke fun at, but overall the combat depth and synergies are better by a huge distance. Maybe it helped I got it late and some things were fixed up a bit.

When is this dropping? Do we have a rough date?

Now I'm just starting out and am 90% blind with this game but I had a thought the other day while playing, what about two arbalests/musketeers in 4 and 3 then houndmastwr/bounty hunter/graverobber/crusader in 2 and a hellion in 1? I know I'm probably committing a cardinal sin by suggesting to bring an arbalest at all let alone doubling down given what I understand to be vehement hatred of the class on this channel/in this community but I'm curious as to how effective it could be.

Does dreaming general tap root behave differently with 2 stacks vs 3 stacks of rooted? Like does 3 stacks create a stronger version of waking dead?

I think the really frustrating part of lair bosses is that the aoes act as a timer for the fight. There is little way to counteract a boss cleaving your whole team, and typically you go into a lair boss after facing 2 rounds of fights. And if you didnt get fcked before the boss, you will be in bad shape after succeeding. And for me personally i only ever die to leviathan anymore (worst designed). For the others if i die, its typically the road fight immediately afterwards, and if it rolls collector i just abandon.

They really should have like a cliff or sand pitt. So if Leper misses with the Chop more than once you just push him into abyss. Or have Highwayman right behind him to just take his friggin head off.

Just completed my first grand slam, it will probably be my only one. PD, Runaway, Crusader (Banneret) and Flagellant. Huge backline damage but minimal direct damage to the middle made a couple of fights scary.

You need to play the sequel, library of Ruina , next. It’s a great game. Just don’t ask about love town. We do NOT talk about love town.

You talked about antiquarian making like 12k on early levels, but in my experience, even a level 1-2 antiquarian has pretty consistently banked me 20k-25k on medium runs. With my level 4 antiquarian, the profit difference only went up by maybe 5k. The main thing is I just ignore heirlooms on money runs

Footman's Grog carried me on my Act 5 run. Cardinal's Exultation & Strange Axis kept my party buffed every cultist fight 👍.

I am new to the game, having only recently finding DD1 and completing that. I think lots of these moves have been changed or nerfed as I don’t think all of them do all of these things now. Very useful though as I am struggling a bit

This guide is now completely irrelevant as the game has had multiple very expansive updates. A revisit might be a good idea.

I'd say Duelist earns her A-Rank. Omni strike on touche, fletche hits hard and at least since my comps usually run MAA or Crusader im usually able to setup strong meditation/preparation turns pretty reliably. Idk, maybe she's too slow in later acts but I'm seeing consistent success in acts 1-3.

Can we not nerf maa before enemies get changed again , I know he’s the best hero but I don’t wanna have to deal with a game where there’s now almost impossible bosses with out him , try fighting Levi or act 2, act 4 with out maa it’s possible but to point where it’s not even fun doing it
